ABAGAIL

My
name is Abagail and I want to tell you of my wonderful new home.
My
story begins in Brookings, SD where a lady who bought me from a
puppy mill took me to a vet's office and left me there. Susan
from Pet Pals For Life heard about my plight and drove up to get
me. One of her group organizers, Sharon, paid the vet bill for
boarding and shots and off I went to Sioux Falls, SD to board with
all the other dogs at Sylvia's Boarding and Grooming.
Although
I weighed only 4 lbs., I had a lot of 'moxy' and was very self
confident so it wasn't long before I had Sylvia's yorkshire
terriers, standard poodle and doxie's in tow. Sylvia made me a
beautiful pink leather collar with rhinestones so of course I was
even more beautiful.
Pet
Pals For Life put pictures of me in their pet gallery and pet books
and there were lots of calls from people who wanted to adopt
me. But Sylvia knew that they were not the right family
for me. Then one day Sandy, one of the Pet Pals For Life
organizers, came to take me on a day of adventure. I went to
her office and met all kinds of nice people.
Sandy
knew a family that wanted another dog to live with their 14 year old
westie and she thought I was the perfect choice. So off I went
for 'inspection' at the Nelsons. Of course, I am so adorable
it took them all of 5 minutes to decide they wanted me to come live
with them permanently.
That
was just a few days ago and I am all settled in with my new
family. They are even getting a special play area for me in my
new backyard because I am so small and they don't want to lose me!
I
am a very happy little girl and my new family really loves me.
Oh, by the way, my new name is Lola if you're confused. Sharon
from Pet Pals For Life named me Abagail when I first came to Sioux
Falls and she still likes to call me that.
How
good it is to have human people like Susan and Sandy and Sharon and
Sylvia who love animals so much. They are my very best
friends.
Love
& Kisses
