PEPPER

"Hello.
My name is Pepper, a very handsome Sheltie." I was taken
to the Sioux Falls Humane Society because my family decided it was
too much work to groom me anymore. At the time I was 8 years
old so it was very hard on me. And I sure did not understand
how anyone could give me up after 8 years!
Pet Pals For Life posted my picture in the pet books they have
around town. Donna, an employee at Dr. Luken's Vet Clinic,
saw it and called the Laughlins. She knew they were looking
for just the right pet to replace the one they had lost. So the
Laughlins came up to the shelter, knew I was just the right one, and
took me home.
Following
is my happy story in my new home with the Laughlins.
Networking is so good. That's what Pet Pals For Life do best.
PEPPER
From
Ruth Laughlin....
"After
putting our 12 year old Champ to sleep last Oct. 22, we've been
searching for another doggie. After 6 months we adopted Pepper
from the Sioux Falls Humane Society April 17. He is a seven
year old sweet calm and loveable Sheltie. He quickly made
himself at home, finding a corner in the kitchen as his favorite
spot where he spends much of his time, on a little quilt and
pillow. We've had his teeth cleaned, a little growth near his
eye removed and his toe nails clipped at Dr. Lukens April 29.
His next appointment is for a shampoo and hair trim May 10. He
will look so beautiful.
We
are so happy with him and he's definitely a happy dog in his new
home. He does a few tricks and responds quickly when we call
him.
It
was amazing to find out that his former owners are living in
Starlite Estates Mobil Home Park where we live. Pepper and I
were out walking when a little girl came running to us hollering
"Pepper, Pepper". He didn't seem to recognize her
and stayed right close to me. I told her she's welcome to come
visit him anytime.
We
are so thankful we waited for the right little pal. He's
already made my life fuller and I hope we will have many years
together -
Ruth
