Reggie and Carol

Sometimes animals go to the place where they can find the most help.  Such is the story of Reggie, a beautiful kitten who found his way to Carol’s house.  Carol found this lost little stray on her lawn and knew how much he needed to have help – and mostly love – to survive.

Carol took him to Dr. Somer’s office where he was given protective shots and treated for nasty fleas, ear mites and an eye infection.  Dr. Somers said he would not have survived much longer on his own because he was so malnourished and weak.

Reggie -the name Carol gave this little waif- spent the first week protected in a kennel so he could begin to recover.  Carol could see that Reggie did not seem to step on his one leg so she took him back to Dr. Somers where it was discovered he has a fracture in his upper shoulder bone.  Dr. Somers wrapped the leg and it is hoped that the fracture will heal on its own.  Carol also made an appointment to have Reggie neutered so there will not be any more unwanted kittens when Reggie grows up.  Reggie also has his ‘own room’ – a bathroom that Carol converted into a “kitty home”.

This beautiful kitten, whose life started out so horribly, is approximately 6 months old.  Despite his beginning, he is loving, gentle and wants only to be petted and loved.  As you can tell by the picture, he is going to be one magnificent cat when he grows up.  His coloring is beautiful and he has a splendid bushy tail.

As soon as Reggie is strong enough, Pet Pals For Life and Carol will find him a new, loving home.  Stories like this are what Pet Pals for Life is all about.  Caring humans like Carol who rescue loving animals like Reggie and help find them the right home.

Thank you Carol –
